At Mental Health First Aid Australia, we’ve historically conducted operations in line with the calendar year. This year, we have commenced transitioning our operations to a financial year schedule.
As part of this, we’ve also conducted a review our pricing to ensure that it remains in line with our operating costs. After careful consideration, we have decided to implement an adjustment to our prices in line with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the next financial year.
What are the new prices?
Effective 1 July 2024, Mental Health First Aid Australia will be increasing the price of its materials as outlined in the document linked below.
As part of this new process, Mental Health First Aid Australia will conduct an annual review of our pricing in March each year, for implementation at the start of the financial year in July.
Why are the prices increasing?
As a registered health promotion charity, we endeavour to keep our prices as low as possible to ensure MHFA training remains accessible to all. Price increases like this help us to ensure that our revenue keeps pace with rising costs, and the implementation of the annual review provides predictability and stability to both us as an organisation and our Instructors.
What can I do to prepare?
We recommend that you take the following steps, depending on your situation:
- For independent licensees: We recommend that you take the necessary steps to prepare for the price increase, so that the changes can be reflected in your own course delivery costs. As part of this, you may wish to notify any long-term or ongoing customers who will be receiving MHFA training in the new financial year.
- For those internal to an organisation: We recommend that you inform your finance team of the pending price increases so that the changes can be accounted for in the 2024–25 budget.
If you have any questions about the price increase, please get in touch with our team at mhfa@mhfa.com.au.
