Mental Health First Aid Australia has simplified our course names.
Previously, delivery modes such as “Online” or “Blended Online” were included in the course title. In the new system, each course will have a single title (such as Youth Mental Health First Aid) based on the core course title.
What does this mean for MHFAiders?
Prospective MHFAiders begin their search by choosing the core course that they are interested in. From there, they are able to choose how they participate in the training.
Public-facing course names will include the core course and the audience, where appropriate. For example, Standard MHFA for Legal Professionals.
What does this mean for Instructors?
To support these changes, we have simplified the Upskill pathway for Blended courses. Previously, Blended courses included a separate Upskill for Blended and Blended Online. In the new system, these will be captured in a single Upskill that can be used for the delivery of both Blended Face-to-Face and Blended Online, providing the opportunity for Instructors to deliver courses in both modalities.
In the following video, Leonard Puglia, Australia Program Deliver Manager, provides further information that may be helpful to you in navigating the changes to course names.
