We continuously review our pricing to ensure that it remains in line with our operating costs. After careful consideration, we have decided to implement a price adjustment to our standalone manuals and workbooks, which will take effect from 15 January 2025.
What are the new prices of manuals and workbooks?
Effective 13 January 2025, pricing for these items will be:
- Manuals: $27.50 (including GST) was previously $18.50)
- Workbooks/Handbooks: $16.50 (including GST) was previously $11.50
Please note other products, including eLearning products that include manuals, are not impacted by this price increase.
Why are the prices increasing?
The reasons for the increase in costs of the manual and workbooks are twofold:
- Our costs have risen significantly (including publishing, storage and postage), and we can no longer absorb these expenses. Notably, some manuals and handbooks are currently sold for less than our cost price (before other expenses).
- We need to account for authoring costs in the price of manuals, which we haven't factored in until now.
Changes like this help us to ensure that our revenue keeps pace with rising costs. We have endeavoured to keep these costs as low as possible to minimise the impact on instructors.
What can I do to prepare?
We recommend that you take the following steps, depending on your situation:
- For independent licensees: We recommend that you take the necessary steps to prepare for the price increase so that the changes can be reflected in your own fees. As part of this, please notify any long-term or ongoing customer who will be receiving MHFA training in the new year, from 13 January 2025.
- For those internal to an organisation: We recommend that you let your finance team know about the pending price increases so that the changes can be accounted for in your budget.
