The process of creating a Teen course in the Instructor Portal is unique. This is because the information collected is more restricted, as the participants are minors.
In brief:
- When you create a course, there is a specific button for creating teen courses.
- Teen courses are to be created after delivery, when class lists are final and feedback has been received.
- Add the usual details, such as the co-facilitator (if applicable) and the venue information.
- Uploading a class list is a required field of the platform. It is not necessarily a requirement of instructors to capture this information. Some schools and Teen cohorts have asked to have some identifiable information against the course date. Some schools and teen cohorts prefer to keep this information in their own systems.
- If you have collected a class list, please use the template document available for download.
- For privacy and confidentiality, class lists may be first names and last initial or even initials, as long as the school knows who was in each class (if it is a requirement of the school)
- If you do not have a class list, or if the school does not want a class list shared, you may simply upload a page saying “class details held by the school”
- It is also required to enter the participant averages for feedback questions 3 and 4 of the feedback survey. The average should be a number between 1 and 10.
- If you do not have feedback data for past courses, please enter a “0”.
- If you do not have feedback data for past courses, please enter a “0”.
- Once the Teen course creation is complete, it isn’t editable by Instructors. Check details carefully and email teen@mhfa.com.au if any changes are needed.
