Instructions
Step 1: Navigate to your Instructor Portal by opening the MHFA website and select the Instructor login option. This will take you to the Instructor Portal login.
Important note
The .mhfa suffix at the end of your Instructor email address is no longer needed. Your Instructor email address will be used to access all MHFAI systems.
Your username is your email address for the Instructor Portal, MHFA Shop and eLearning (LMS) platforms.
Step 2: On the following screen, select the Forgot Password link.
NOTE: This step is only the first time you set up MFA (Multi-factor Authentication). You won't need to do this after your email address and password have been set up.
Step 3: Input your email address and select Continue.
A password reset link will be emailed to you.
Step 4: Open the email message and select Confirm.
Step 5: Enter a new password, ensuring you meet the complexity requirements shown in the box.
Once these requirements have been satisfied, select Reset Password.
Important Note: Please remember the password you use here. You will need this at Step 6 of these instructions.
A confirmation screen will confirm that your password was reset successfully. Select Back to Instructor Login
You are now back at the Instructor Portal Login Page (for reference: https://mhfa.my.site.com/MHFA/s)
Step 6: With your email address and password registered using the previous steps, you can enter the new password you created at Step 5.
Select Continue.
You will now be presented with two Multi-factor authentication (MFA) options:
- Google Authenticator or similar* (see the Authenticator App instructions for details, or refer to the PDF document at the end of this article)
- SMS (see the SMS setup instructions for details, or refer to the PDF document at the end of this article)
* Instructors can choose which authenticator app they wish to use.
NOTE: Using an Authenticator app is the recommended method.
Select your preferred option.
Once you have completed the MFA step, you should now be successfully signed into the Instructor Portal with multi-factor authentication set up on your account.
Now that you are signed in, you will be able to benefit from Single Sign-On (SSO) to access the MHFA Shop without needing to input your username and password.
