Are there any tips, tricks or special benefits for delivering Blended courses?

The ability to deliver bended courses means that: 

• You can meet the needs of workplaces or other groups who cannot have a large group of people out at the one time for 2 full days 
• You can meet license course delivery requirements with a smaller investment of your time 
• Delivering online allows: 
  • Delivery to a wider geographic range of participants 
  • Flexibility to delivery from the location of your choice (within Australia) 
  • Saving on travel times and expenses 
  • Saving on venue hire and catering 

Tips and tricks: 

• Confirm participants are receiving your emails - to confirm the correct address has been entered in the portal.  
• Keep an eye on eLearning completion  
• Set eLearning completion expectations at enrolement: 
  • Let your participants know that eLearning must be completed prior to component 2 or they will have to be rescheduled 
  • Let them know that the eLearning needs to be completed 2 days in advance. (This allows the LMS and the instructor portal to sync so that you can see that they have completed, and follow up if not)  
  • Ask them to take a screenshot to confirm completion of the eLearning, so they can provide that if they are not showing as having completed the eLearning. 
• For online delivery, set up your polls, whiteboards and other technology requirements in your video conferencing technology well in advance.  
• Only mark participants as attended if they have first completed the eLearning and then attended component 2. 
• For any participants having issues receiving eLearning have them: 
  • check their junk/spam folders 
  • make sure that [e-mail] is in the safe senders list for their email program 
  • if they are using a work email address that the organisation has [e-mail] in their "white list" 

If this none of this works, please have the participant themselves contact our Support Services Team on [e-mail] with the subject line "MHFAider unable to receive eLearning links". Have them include all their participant information

• email address  
• contact phone number 
• course date 
• instructor name

This team has the platform access and tech knowledge to best support the participant directly with the issue.
