A: Booking a 15-minute Specialist appointment is a 3rd option for support. The Booking Tool can be found under the “Contact Us” subtab on your Instructor Portal. Appointments are required to be booked a minimum of 24 hours in advance. In these appointments you will be able to discuss your concerns directly with a specialist.
An appointment is the best channel of communication for the following types of enquiries:
- Detailed questions about upskills eligibility, pre-requisite requirements and enrolment that aren’t answered by the information in your ILA.
- Conversation about deferment – after an application to defer has been submitted
- Unusual Instructor License Agreement or license maintenance questions
- When you need support or are distressed after you have completed course delivery
- Course delivery and management
As the appointments are only 15 minutes in length, please:
- Provide sufficient information in the booking tool form for the specialist to prepare and have on hand any resources you may need.
- Be sure to be available to take the call at the time booked.
- Note that we cannot teach the entirety of using the Instructor Portal in that time; however, there are plenty of Help Centre Articles and the Information Session videos to help you with the basics.
- Come prepared with specific questions.
If your query requires that you show your specialist your screen or may need the specialist to show you theirs, please indicate that you would like a Zoom meeting rather than a call.
